Songbird Early Learning Centre

At Songbird ELC, we are committed to ensuring that the needs and desires of our community are heard and valued. At Briar Hill we have chosen to provide a Montessori kindergarten program for those children who are eligible. The program is delivered by a Montessori qualified and VIT registered Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) and ensures that all children are catered for in a positive environment that is safe and secure. Our kinder room is an integrated mixed aged kinder and will run 5 days per week.

Our Montessori Kinder room provides a nurturing and stimulating environment designed to support children's natural curiosity and love of learning. We follow the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes hands-on, self-directed learning, allowing children to explore at their own pace. Our carefully prepared environment features a wide range of Montessori materials that foster independence, concentration, and a deep understanding of core concepts. We focus on developing practical life skills, sensorial exploration, language, mathematics, and cultural studies, helping children build a strong foundation for future learning.

In addition to the Montessori curriculum, we offer a holistic approach that considers the emotional, social, and physical development of each child. Our experienced teachers and educators will guide and support children in developing confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills. We also integrate outdoor play, art, and music into our daily routine, ensuring a well-rounded experience that nurtures the whole child. Our Montessori Kinder room is a vibrant community where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow in a supportive and enriching environment.
