The Athena School Limited

The Athena School is an independent Primary and High School in the heart of Newtown in Sydney’s Inner West.

Our beautiful and leafy school has an authentic Montessori Prep class for our younger students as well as a Primary and High School from Kindergarten to Year 10.

Our Montessori Prep is a Kindy Minus 1 and uses the philosophy of Maria Montessori.  We have a NESA accredited, Montessori trained Early Childhood teacher and teacher’s assistant to ensure a gentle transition into school life. Our aim is to guide the children into being confident about moving into the Kindergarten class.

The school’s mission is to use the art of teaching to provide a safe and inspiring environment that identifies and expands each student’s talents and interests and motivates them in their pursuit of knowledge, resulting in the student’s progress to independence and self-confidence.

We are accepting enrolments now. We conduct tours by appointment and offer a free trial day.
