Primary Assistant – Temporary (Maternity Leave Cover)

The Opportunity: Are you an experienced, motivated, and Classroom Assistant with a passion for Montessori philosophy? If so, you may be the person we are looking for!

We are looking for a temporary full-time Primary Classroom Assistant (preferably for 48 weeks) to collaborate with the Classroom Director in fostering children’s curiosity and supporting their development within a Montessori setting.

This position is expected to commence at the start of June 2025 for 12 months, with the possibility of extending.

Ideal Candidate:

· Passionate about education and Montessori philosophy.

· Support children and their families with effective communication.

· Build respectful and trusting relationships with children.

· Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals.

· Use diverse teaching techniques to achieve high educational standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Criteria:

· Recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services, Certificate III or IV in Educational Support and/or extensive experience in a primary school setting.

· 6–12 Montessori certificate or diploma (advantageous).

· Ability to obtain a WWCC.

· Relevant First Aid Certificate and Child Protection training.
