ABOUT THE ROLE

Montessori International College (MIC) is seeking an exceptional, qualified Spanish Specialist Teacher to design and lead our Spanish language program. The position is a 0.8FTE role commencing in January, 2027.

Set on 22 hectares of natural bushland on the Sunshine Coast, MIC offers a vibrant, child-centered educational environment. This role is responsible for delivering engaging, authentic Spanish learning experiences that inspire curiosity and cultural appreciation across our primary and secondary learning communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently develop and implement an immersive Spanish language curriculum.
• Create tailored learning experiences for multi-age and multi-ability student groups.
• Monitor, record, and report on student progress while offering constructive feedback.
• Embed interactive language resources and contemporary technology into learning programs.
• Collaborate with classroom Guides and actively participate in College life and cultural events.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

• Relevant Tertiary Teaching Degree.
• Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration.
• High level of Spanish language proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-age learning environments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence.
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to acquire).
• Alignment with or keen interest in the Montessori philosophy.
